The Last Blast from the Past

Apparently I had abandoned photo comics at this point and moved on to Mr. Smelly markers and colored pencils, like the pros use. It's a good motto for life maybe, why settle for enough something when you could about 1,000 more of that thing?

A Blast from the Past

I was just going through a bunch of old stuff and found some comics I made about birds when I was in third grade. I got a kick out of seeing them, so I thought I'd share. Ralph is a parrot that lived in our veterinarian's office, and yes that is typewriter writing and a polaroid rubber cemented together.

Embroidering on Paper

Yesterday, I learned how to embroider on paper. It's fairly simple to do and looks really elegant. I'll work on a tutorial and a list of resources for pattens.

The Seashore Trolley Museum

A friend and I visited the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport, Maine today. It's a pretty cool place. You can ride on some antique trolleys and walk onto others and even see people at work restoring old trolleys. (I got this token as a souvenir.) I'd recommend it to anyone who likes trolleys, trains, collections, mechanical things, things in various stages of repair, history, going for rides or public transportation.

The Letter

(The L-hand side of this spread is meant to be the letter she's getting up so early in the morning to write, but I haven't decided what it should say yet.)
